Canned fancy vegetable juice cocktail is made from round and/or pear tomatoes in a several-step process. Tomatoes are washed and sorted for quality, then processed and strained to obtain the desired consistency and finish. A special blend of dehydrated vegetables and spices is added to obtain the characteristic flavor of a well-balanced vegetable juice cocktail.
The finished juice is practically free from extraneous plant material and objectionable defects. It is pasteurized, hot-filled to ensure commercial sterility, then cooled prior to stacking.
